Project summary:
MABIS recently completed an independant evaluation on this project on behalf of the UK Community Sport Initiative and BLF. Please see copy of the case study report above. The project is developing new opportunities for physical activity in local green spaces for people with disabilities in the Cardiff area, including accessible adventurous activities. The project aims to increase physical activity levels among the target group and sustain this activity. Methods used include the provision of taster sessions, the use of video to promote activities, disability specific training for activity providers and the establishment of an adapted exercise referral scheme. Support structures will be put in place to sustain this activity beyond the lifetime of the funding.
