Neath Port Talbot

Project Summary
The Mentro Allan project within Neath Port Talbot aims to increase physical activity levels of young people aged 11 to 25 at ‘risk of disengagement’ by increasing their use and enjoyment of the natural outdoor environment in Neath Port Talbot. The project will develop new opportunities for the target group to participate in outdoor adventure and conservation activities.

Through these activities young people will be able to increase their knowledge and understanding of the natural environment and the health benefits that can be gained.

Exit routes, through currently established clubs and the setting up of new community clubs/groups, will be put in place to aid sustainability beyond the lifetime of the funding.
